DIY Surf Wax

This is our favorite of the DIY recipes.
3 parts wax (we recommend a non paraffin based wax such as beeswax from your local bee keeper)
1 part coconut oil
1 part pine resin (optional, but recommended for better grip)

Instructions
Melt and mix
: Heat the wax until it melts and then stir in the coconut oil. Once fully mixed add the optional pine resin. The pine resin will help improve the grip and stickiness of the wax.
Remove from heat: Once the mixture is fully mixed, remove it from the heat source.
Pour into molds: Pour the mixture into molds. Old tuna cans or silicone ice cube trays work just fine.
Allow to cool and harden: Let the mixture cool and harden completely. Best to just leave them overnight.
Remove from molds: Once hardened, remove the wax from the molds and your homemade surf wax is ready to use.

Tips and Variations
Experiment with different ratios of wax to coconut oil to pine resin to find your preferred consistency and grip.
If you find the wax too hard or soft, adjust the recipe accordingly or try adding a small amount of jojoba oil or beeswax to refine the texture
